Ashland Nature Center - Hockessin
Located at the intersection of Brackenville and Barley Mill Roads in Hockessin, Ashland is open 7 days a week 8:30-4:30 Mon-Fri, 9-3 Saturdays and 12-4 Sundays (302-239-2334). Included now is Coverdale Farm

Winterthur Museum & Gardens
Located on Rt, 52 - Kennett Pike between Greenville and Centerville.  This world class museum is on our kid’s list because of their wonderful children’s “Enchanted Garden”.

The Nature Society operates Ashland Nature Center in Hockessin and Coverdale Farm in Greenville.    Ashland (239-2334) is open Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30, Sat 9-3, closed Sunday and holidays and is located at Brackenville and Barley Mill Roads (Ashland map). They cater to kids 18 months to 18 years and are well known for their week-long summer programs for kids, the butterfly house and school field trips. Coverdale Farm on Way Road in Greenville (Coverdale map) is open March through December for scheduled programs and events - most are aimed at families and children and include educational classes, festivals, workshops and hay rides.
